So... okay, Jesse, you win. There. I said it. Happy now?
Switching gears. Let's talk TV. Specifically NBC's Bionic Woman. To borrow liberally from that American patriot Stephen Colbert, Bionic Woman: you are on notice. Stop being so mopey and whiny and be the really awesome espionage/action/drama you were designed to be. It is your destiny. The Emperor has foreseen it.
I'd also like to take a minute and spread the love for Life, which comes on after that show that should be awesome but isn't. It's a lot of fun. Very recommended.
Finally: Kittens.
Until next time, amigos.

Welcome to Correctville, RDT! I think Challengers stays at least in the top 5 this year (at least on my list and I have a bit of a say what ends up on it in what order so that race is, as they say, fixed), but what a year for new music it has been...
I've really been digging the new Shout Out Louds lately, and listening to like my last 15 albums on shuffle(on my Sansa - what did I do before subscription music?). Love that shuffle. JT Radio never gets old.
I've got last nights eps of Bionic Woman and Life waiting for me on the DVR. If BW goes back to ep1 and ep2 mopey Jamie and goes away from the action/intrigue/freshness that started building in ep3, well, I may be putting it on more than notice...I'm telling you though, the international espionage thriller you're looking for is Alias. Put the first season in your queue (that is a strange word). What do you have to lose?
Whoa, slow down there, Tex. "Top 5"? No. Not even close. It's been a great year for music (seriously, it's sick!) and they'll need a lot more than a decent album that still looks anemic in comparison with their former work.
Let's not get carried away here, cuz.
And as far as Alias goes, I'll give it the first season a whirl, despite the fact that Huston did a pretty good job of warning me off of it. JJ's built up enough equity to give it a shot (speaking of which, did you see who's playing Scotty? Rawk.). So, here's to hoping I don't hate it as much as I hated 24. Yuck.
you have chosen... poorly. i predict you get frustrated about the same time i did with alias. episode 5 maybe.
and i like challengers. but definitely not top 5. have you guys got the new thrills album, or is it not out yet? it's good. i predict dylan will love it.
I'll give the first disc a try. If it fails to catch me, well, it will go the way of Heroes, Season 1. We shall see.
As far as the new Thrills album... haven't heard it, though I'd really like to. I think they're the bee's knees. I wish I had someone, like a brother or something, who would hook me up with this kind of stuff.
[sigh]
When you watch Alias you just have to transport yourself back pre-Lost and pre-Battlestar Galactica and pre-24, and remember that its main competition was procedurals like Law & Order and soaps like ER. No such thing as serialized dramas, no such thing as replicating a different (or 2,3 per episode) exotic world location in each episode. I predict that it will feel somewhat dated, but you'll definitely notice JJ's mark and see how this was a big step towards the near cinematic quality TV that is Lost. And remember, there's a reason Alias is the only non-Ricky Gervais produced show Ricky Gervais has ever shown up in...
Challengers is the New Pornographers' Revolver. It's awesome. Name me 5 better albums, from track 1 to track 11.
Life is a good show. Bionic Woman is not!
Bionic Woman: I agree except besides it being too mopey, what's up with the climax/big fighting scene/enter bad guys part being like 5 minutes? It's like, "no way can it be that easy". I don't get it. I hope it gets better.
Life: Kind of slow and I haven't gotten into it but hey, there's like 16 shows I'm watching this season. I have to say no to some.
Kittens: One part of me says "what tha/who tha/ that's wrong" while the other part of me says "how...cute".
